Gauri Puja is celebrated today, 27th March 2020, in honour of Mata Gauri, celebrated with great pomp primarily in the states of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Haryana. It is also known as Gangaur, and is observed for a period of 18 days.
The occasion symbolises a celebration of spring, harvest and marital fidelity. Gauri Mata is considered to be the Goddess of marital bliss, the reason why the festival is celebrated by married women to be blessed with "welfare, health and long life of their husbands and for a happy married life". The most famous Gaur celebrations can be seen in Jaipur wherein a procession is taken out with the image of Gauri Mata across the city, commencing at Zanani-Deodhi of the City Palace.
Team @Samarpana Divine Fragrance wishes you a blessed Gangaur Puja.
